NDSU communication students win award

Four NDSU strategic communication students won first place in the Collegiate/Education – Public Relations, Social Media or Recruitment/Involvement Campaign category of the North Dakota Professional Communicators annual communicators contest.

Elizabeth Leonard, Camille Haman, April Anderson and Nathan Ambrose were recognized with their award during the NDPC’s 2025 conference and award ceremony held on May 9.

The team’s mock public relations campaign was originally created in their COMM 377 media planning class.

“I am so grateful to have received this award and to have worked alongside such an amazing and hardworking team,” Anderson wrote in a LinkedIn post.

NDPC is an organization of women and men employed in all aspects of communication including newspapers, public relations, education, magazines, television, radio, publishing, advertising, photography and freelance. 

The communicators conference recognizes the work of professional communicators and college-level communicators across the state.
